Chlamydia is the most common sexually transmitted disease (STD), first records of chlamydia as bacterial disease are from 1963. It is very bad disease, if you take care of it, it won't kill you, but chlamydia can cause serious issues, especially to pregnant woman. During pregnancy the child's eyes can be attacked by chlamydia bacteria and cause blindness. Symptoms are swelling and pain in intimate parts of body. The origin of Chlamydia is still big question, it is bacteria and bacteria come from earth, bacteria like Malaria and Chlamydia have been here much longer than human race. If we would be able to find the very origin of these diseases we could totally prevent them.
